Projects that protect and restore ocean health.

Seagrass Garden
Beach Clean-Ups
Ocean Ed
At I AM H₂O, our commitment to the ocean begins with personal responsibility.
I AM H₂O is not currently a registered environmental organisation. The initiatives shared here are led personally by Brittany as a marine biologist and ocean advocate, with the intention of contributing transparently and meaningfully to marine awareness and restoration efforts.
Every retreat participant, event attendee, or supporter who chooses to donate contributes to Brittany’s hands-on ocean projects and fundraising initiatives.
These include:
• Independent beach clean-ups
• Early-morning turtle nesting monitoring during summer months
• Marine education and lived ocean experiences
• Support for Mediterranean seagrass protection efforts
• The creation of seagrass planting support grids
Seagrass grids are designed to help young plants establish themselves in stable, organised patterns. By supporting structure and spacing, these grids increase the chances of healthy growth, habitat restoration, and long-term ecosystem resilience — while also transforming restoration into a visual act of intention and awareness.
2026 Swim Initiative: Posidonia Oceanica
In 2026, Brittany will undertake open-water swims around the islands of Ischia and Capri to raise funds and awareness for Posidonia oceanica, the vital Mediterranean seagrass ecosystem.
Often called the “lungs of the Mediterranean,” Posidonia meadows:
• Produce oxygen
• Provide habitat for marine life
• Protect coastlines
• Store carbon and stabilise the seabed
As both a marine biologist and breath-based wellness guide, Brittany feels deeply connected to this ecosystem. Protecting seagrass means protecting the very systems that sustain our breath and life.
This swim is a personal act of commitment and gratitude to the sea.
How You Can Support
